Build Runewords with the Right Rune Pair
Diablo 4 Runes are socketable items used to create Runewords in eligible two-socket gear. A Runeword is made by pairing a Rune of Ritual with a Rune of Invocation: one side generates Offering, and the other spends that Offering to trigger a special effect.
That makes Runes different from Gems. Gems usually add direct stat bonuses. Runes are more about build behavior — extra effects, triggered powers, utility, and combinations that can change how your setup plays during combat.
The important part is the pair. A single Rune does nothing by itself; the value comes from matching the right Ritual and Invocation effect for your class, gear, and build goal. Some players use Runes for damage. Others want mobility, defensive triggers, resource help, or utility that fills a weakness in the build.
Use this category when you want specific Diablo 4 Runes for Runeword setups, endgame gear planning, seasonal builds, bossing, dungeon farming, Pit pushing, or Mythic crafting support.
