A Small Charm with Huge Build Value
Annihilus is one of the most wanted charms in Diablo 2 Resurrected because it gives several powerful bonuses in a single small charm slot. Extra skill levels, attributes, all resistances, and bonus experience make it useful for almost every class and build.
That is why players usually care about the roll.
A low Anni can still be useful, especially if you just need the +1 to all skills and general stat support. But higher rolls become much more valuable because they improve multiple parts of the character at once: damage, survivability, gear requirements, resistance gaps, and leveling speed.
Annihilus is commonly used by Hammerdins, Sorceresses, Javazons, Smiters, Necromancers, Barbarians, Assassins, Druids, and basically any build that wants more power without giving up inventory space.
Use this category when your character needs a compact upgrade that supports Hell farming, Terror Zones, bossing, PvM, PvP, or general endgame setup.
