Paladin - Foh / Hammer / Smite Paladin - Top Tier

Build Overview

This Top Tier FoH/Hammer/Smite Paladin package uses Fist of the Heavens and Holy Bolt against demons and undead, hammers for suitable targets outside that group, and one-point Smite for close-range single targets. The level-95 plan keeps the four main skills at 20 hard points and adds the required aura and utility paths. This is a walking setup: no Enigma or Teleport item is included.

Pros

• Grief and Herald of Zakarum support the Smite portion; Goblin Toe supplies Crushing Blow.
• Charms, Call to Arms / Spirit and an Insight mercenary are included.

Cons

• Chains of Honor supplies no Teleport; main-set Faster Cast Rate is only 20%.
• Hybrid hammers have fewer synergies than a dedicated Hammerdin; Life Tap still needs to proc.

How To Play

Keep Holy Shield active. Use FoH against demon and undead packs, and cast Holy Bolt along clear lines. Use Blessed Hammer with Concentration when the FoH bolts cannot damage the target; position carefully so the hammer path connects. Select Fanaticism when using Smite, rather than assuming one aura benefits all three attacks equally. Use Vigor or Charge to move and Redemption on available corpses to recover between fights. FoH lightning damage is not the focus: Holy Shock and Conviction are not allocated in this plan. Crushing Blow and Open Wounds apply to the appropriate attacks, not to FoH or hammers. Dracul's Life Tap is chance-based and is not active automatically at the start of a fight. Do not enter a dangerous boss encounter relying on an immediate proc. Check resistances, block, potion supplies and the actual attack speed before attempting it; the package does not promise an Uber clear. Use the included Call to Arms / Spirit switch for buffs, then return to Grief / Herald of Zakarum for Smite. Arachnid Mesh is the only Faster Cast Rate item on that main set (20%). The Spirit switch can support casting, but this is not a 75% or 125% FCR caster package. The listed Chains of Honor supplies no Teleport. The Insight mercenary supports mana recovery and does not carry a curse-proccing weapon that would replace Life Tap.
