Build Overview

This level 85 Leap Attack Barbarian uses a Grief Phase Blade and Stormshield, with Berserk available against physical-immune enemies. Fortitude, Arreat's Face, Thundergod's Vigor and the listed melee equipment support the physical weapon strike. The package follows a played conventional sword-and-shield branch and includes an Insight mercenary. It uses no rare Lethargy-charge items.

Pros

Cons

• Deliberate close-range setup with no Teleport; it is slower than common speed-farming Barbarian builds.

How To Play

Cast Battle Command, Battle Orders and Shout with the two Warcries weapons, then return to Grief and Stormshield. Use short Leap Attacks to approach and strike chosen targets without landing in the middle of an uncontrolled group. Leap Attack has a weapon strike and a separate landing-area effect: Grief's added damage, weapon mastery, Fortitude's enhanced damage and weapon-hit leech should not be treated as multipliers or healing for the flat area damage. Dracul's Life Tap can help eligible physical weapon hits when it triggers. Use Berserk deliberately for physical-immune targets; its damage is magical and its defense penalty makes surrounding monsters dangerous. The Insight mercenary supports mana recovery. Keep the mercenary nearby, check Hell resistances, carry potions and use Leap or Howl to create space when needed. This Fortitude package has no Teleport item. No fixed damage total, high-player-count clear speed or Uber capability is promised. Early Ladder is the equipment tier: this package still requires Grief and Fortitude and includes no charms.
