| Build Type | Barbarian - Berserk Mf - Optimized |
| Mercenary | Act II Guard |
| Main Skills | Berserk, Find Item, Howl, Battle Orders and Teleport from Enigma |
The optimized Berserk Magic Find Barbarian often called the Pitzerker is built for one job: reaching valuable Unique and Champion monsters quickly, killing them efficiently, and using Find Item on their corpses for another chance at loot.
Instead of clearing every monster on the map, this build teleports directly between elite packs. Howl drives normal monsters away, Berserk eliminates the valuable target, and Find Item gives each eligible corpse another opportunity to produce items. That focused loop makes the build especially effective for repeated Magic Find runs.
The Pit is its signature farming zone, but it also performs well against Pindleskin, Thresh Socket, selected Chaos Sanctuary packs, and favorable Terror Zones with good elite density. It is strongest when the player knows the map, recognizes valuable packs quickly, and keeps each run moving.
The main reason to choose this build is efficiency per elite pack. Grief provides the killing power, Enigma and the 105% Faster Cast Rate weapon swap provide mobility, and the remaining gear carries a large amount of Magic Find without turning every kill into a slow fight.
Cast Battle Command twice, followed by Battle Orders. The first Battle Command increases your skill levels; the second refreshes it at the improved level. Battle Orders then provides the strongest available Life and Mana bonus.
Shout can also be cast for additional defense while moving, although Berserk still reduces Defense to zero during its attack animation.
Keep Battle Orders active throughout the run. Recast your war cries before they expire rather than waiting until you are already surrounded.
Howl does not drive away Unique monsters, so it naturally separates the target you want from the normal monsters you do not need to kill. Champions may also resist the effect and should be killed for their drops.
Do not switch back to the Wizardspikes before using Find Item. Your active equipment is what supplies Magic Find when the corpse successfully produces loot.
Berserk is powerful, but it leaves the Barbarian with zero Defense while attacking. Approach packs from the side, use Howl before committing, and avoid standing inside overlapping ranged attacks.
Teleport can also reposition the mercenary. Use a short teleport when he becomes trapped, falls behind, or begins attacking an unwanted group.
Keep Full Rejuvenation Potions available for dangerous combinations such as Extra Strong, Fanaticism, Cursed, or Might-enchanted packs. Because Berserk does not provide useful leech, do not wait for attacks to refill your globes.
This build can kill Act Bosses, but they should not be its main farming target. Keep Battle Orders active, teleport to place the mercenary beside the boss, clear or frighten away surrounding monsters, and attack with Berserk while using potions as needed.
For better returns, concentrate on Unique packs, Champions, Pindleskin, Thresh Socket, and similar targets whose corpses can be searched with Find Item.

Do not assign final Strength or Dexterity until the exact Torch, Annihilus, Enigma base, ring, and other item rolls are known.
This guide assumes that Grief, Enigma, six installed Ist runes, the Cham-socketed Harlequin Crest, and a 10% FCR ring are included in the optimized configuration. Item bases and variable rolls should be confirmed in the Build Composer before publishing or delivering the setup.
Buyer answer
Choose this endgame Pitzerker for fast, repeatable elite-pack Magic Find runs. Teleport to valuable packs, use Howl to scatter normal monsters, kill Unique and Champion enemies with Berserk, then use Find Item on each usable corpse. It is a focused farmer, not a leveling or full-map clearing build.
The Pit, Pindleskin, Thresh Socket, selected Chaos Sanctuary routes, and favorable Terror Zones with valuable elite packs.
Combines fast Teleport routing, focused Berserk damage, high Magic Find, and Find Item for additional loot rolls from eligible corpses.
This is an expensive, single-target endgame build. Berserk leaves your defense at zero after attacking, and Magic Immune enemies must usually be skipped or handled by the mercenary.
