| Build Type | Paladin - Self-skilled Holy Shock Zealot - Optimized |
| Main Skills | Holy Shock, Zeal, Resist Lightning, Holy Shield, Salvation |
| Skill Target | Level 90, all 12 quest skill points |
This Optimized Holy Shock Zealot combines a self-cast lightning aura with close-range Zeal attacks. Crescent Moon in a Phase Blade supplies enemy lightning resistance reduction, while Herald of Zakarum and Holy Shield support the shield setup. Includes the exact gear below and a level-90 skill plan.
Use the Call to Arms / Spirit switch for Battle Command and Battle Orders before returning to Crescent Moon and Herald of Zakarum. Activate Holy Shield and use Holy Shock as your active aura while attacking with Zeal. Resist Lightning and Salvation are invested as synergies; they do not need to be your active aura to supply their skill synergy. Fight small groups, watch your positioning during Zeal and carry healing, mana and rejuvenation potions. Crescent Moon supports the lightning portion of your attacks, but its physical damage is limited. Vengeance is a situational alternative, not a guarantee against every immune enemy. Skip targets this setup cannot safely handle. This is a self-skilled Holy Shock build, not a dual-Dream setup or an Uber-specific Smiter. The listed Lightning Sunder charm and Infinity mercenary help with lightning-resistant enemies. Keep the mercenary alive and check your own resistances after the Sunder penalty. Raven Frost supplies Cannot Be Frozen; the dual-leech ring recovers from eligible physical attack damage, not from the lightning damage itself, so potions remain necessary.
