| Build Type | Sorceress - Nova / Energy Shield Sorceress - Optimized |
| Main Skills | Nova, Static Field, Lightning Mastery, Telekinesis, Energy Shield, Teleport |
| Skill Target | Level 90, all 12 quest skill points |
This Optimized Nova Sorceress uses a level-90 Energy Shield allocation with maxed Nova, Static Field, Lightning Mastery and Telekinesis. The exact character, inventory and Act II mercenary equipment is listed below. Current component quotes support Softcore Non-Ladder only. The combat weapon is a self-wielded Infinity Scythe, with an Insight mercenary and a separately supplied Memory prebuff staff.
Maintain Energy Shield and Frozen Armor, manage both life and mana, and use Teleport to approach or leave a fight. Nova needs nearby targets, so avoid landing in the middle of a dangerous pack. Use Static Field against suitable targets within its difficulty limits and keep potions available. Energy Shield does not make the character immune to damage or remove the need to watch mana, poison and other incoming effects. The Sorceress holds the Infinity Scythe without a combat shield. Its applicable enemy lightning-resistance modifier belongs to the wielder; it is not a bonus transferred from the mercenary. The included Memory has the catalogued +3 Sorceress Skills and +3 Energy Shield runeword modifiers. An additional +3 Energy Shield staff-base modifier is not promised. Use it as a separate prebuff item, then return to the combat set; it is not counted as an always-equipped item or carried charm. The listed Call to Arms / Spirit buff switch is also included.
