| Build Type | Amazon - Lightning Fury - Optimized |
| Mercenary | Act II Guard |
| Main Skills | Charged Strike, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Fury, Lightning Strike |
This build is best for fast, efficient Hell farming where you want huge screen-wide crowd control without constantly babysitting minions or complex mechanics. It’s a great choice for players who like straightforward, ranged pack-clearing and still want credible boss control in the same setup.
Preferred farming zones:
The Pit, Ancient Tunnels, Flayer Jungle/Great Marsh, Cow Level, Lower Kurast, Worldstone Keep and Chaos Sanctuary (especially when monsters are in dense packs). It is also solid for repeated Baal/Area boss loops once resistances and survivability are stabilized.
Main reason to choose it:
Lightning Fury combined with a Conviction-infused Act II mercenary gives an excellent kill-speed-to-risk ratio: you clear packs fast, stay safer at range, and still have reliable follow-up tools for tougher targets.
Gameplay loop: Open each pack with Lightning Fury from the edge of your range, step back to keep distance, and recast when chains are available. Use Charged Strike/Ligthning Strike on survivors and high-life targets, then use Jab only when you need a safe emergency close tool.
Positioning tips: Stay mobile and near the edges of monster clusters so Lightning Fury chains spread efficiently across multiple enemies. Don’t tunnel-vision into melee range unless the pack is already controlled by your mercenary and your next cast is ready.
Boss strategy: For bosses, let your mercenary establish position first, then layer Lightning Fury to handle adds and pressure. Use Charged Strike as the main single-target pressure; Jab/short reposition bursts are useful when the boss gets on top of you or when pack geometry blocks LF arcs.
Skill / aura notes: This setup is mercenary-driven for aura utility (Conviction from Infinity). Focus your uptime on keeping your merc alive and active in the fight; it materially boosts both Lightning skill effectiveness and overall map pace.
